DISEASE BIOLOGY
The ongoing SARS-CoV 2 pandemic has coerced us to use a multi-omics approach to gain more information about the virus. This has helped us track the complex molecular changes that shape up the course of the disease and hence eased our quest of finding new drug targets.
Disease conditions where multiple factors give rise to similar phenotypes, for instance –Alzheimer’s or diabetes, the results from a single layer of data are not sufficient to give a mechanistic insight. Therefore using a coordinated set of multiple omics data is the key to reveal novel information.
Come join us to know more on how Omics tools and techniques can be used to decipher disease biology.
